Zerofiftyone were approached by Kent local radio station KMFM to create an advertising campaign to tie in with their rebrand which set out to appeal to a new, younger audience. Several thoughts were pitched to the company but it was Martin Rowsell's idea that got chosen and worked up.
His idea was to create a family of characters to represent the average Kentish family (along with a dog that appeared occassionally) that he called "radio heads". These characters "spoke" popular song lyrics on each ad which hopefully raised a few smiles! This was all tied together with the strapline "KMFM: It's All About The Music".
Press ads, 48 sheets, 6 sheets, "washroom" posters and all manner of other marketing materials were created using the "radio heads" and are shown here.
